We met at Auburn University.

At Ivy’s family Thanksgiving gathering in 2025, surrounded by the warmth of tradition and togetherness, each person took a turn sharing what they were most thankful for. Jordan went last. He spoke first of gratitude—for the years of being welcomed, loved, and embraced by Ivy’s family as his own. Then his words softened as he turned toward Ivy, reflecting on the life they had built, the love they had nurtured, and the quiet certainty that had grown between them. In that moment, Jordan rose from the couch, knelt before her, and asked Ivy to spend forever with him—turning gratitude into a promise and Thanksgiving into the beginning of their next chapter. 🤍

As Jordan lowered to one knee, the room erupted—laughter, gasps, and a swell of joyful disbelief filling the space before he could even finish his words. Just moments earlier, as he began sharing what he was thankful for, someone playfully called out, “Put a ring on it!”—a comment met with laughter and surprise. To everyone’s astonishment, Jordan did exactly that. In the midst of the crescendo of excitement and praise, Ivy, overcome with joy and love, said yes—her answer rising above the cheers, sealing the moment as gratitude turned into celebration and a family gathering became a forever memory. 💍🤍
